No, two eggs were fertilized separately. The one photo that looks like two eggs is a "hatching" blastocyst coming out of its casing.

Thanks! We were fortunate to have a boy and a girl. It's fascinating watching them develop at different speeds in different ways.

They are 3 years old now. That was enough for us though.
This photo was of them in a petri dish prior to being transferred to my wife's uterus.

I'm very pro-choice. That has nothing to do with a crib accident though.
