It looks like the majority of predictions through the years are people just believing the current trend will continue and then changing their opinion when the market changes.

This is anecdotal but I definitely remember my critical thinking and memory responsiveness taking a hit while going through my first depressive episode as a young adult.

That is how civilized countries have reduced deaths. The US is not civilized so we're going to need to reach a critical mass of tragedies before we admit that allowing free access to guns is idiotic.

Aren't Japanese diets (specifically Okinawan) very similar to Mediterranean diets in composition though? Tons of rich fish and veggies, legumes, and fruit are staples for both. The main difference is simple grains which are more common in Western diets.
