On quick google I'm seeing a requirement to have worked Five quarters, but I would double check the elgibility requirements online - ctpaidleave.org

"Answer: An employee becomes eligible for Paid Leave benefits if they have earned wages of at least $2,325 in the highest-earning quarter of the first four of the five most recently completed quarters (the "base period”) and they are currently employed with a covered Connecticut employer. Those not employed, but had been employed by a covered Connecticut employer within the last 12 weeks, or those in Connecticut who are self-employed/sole proprietor and has enrolled in the program. "

I read the form, despite the Federal disclaimer, the form clearly does not ask you to answer on the basis of either Federal or States rights.....it just leaves an empty assumption that you will be answering based on their federal disclaimer.

You can read the form, understand it's illegal under federal law, yet still check the box on the basis of your understanding under states rights. The form doesn't say anything about that.......just have a good lawyer ;)

Billions of people around the world manage to get by in the very same conditions, if not worse.......most by learning that working smart is better than working hard.

I 'm not going to be the one to say these kids are incapable of being normal human beings, but they sure as hell aren't special.
