Thanks and agreed on all points.
My wishlist is just no passing on the right, speed cameras, and fines tied directly to a percentage of income.

Sarcasm, but still.......It's like the lowest of low hanging fruit. I could congratulate my kid for doing subtraction, but he should be doing algebra.
Up until recently it was by far the most likely way my child, myself and my family would all die. I don't consider that acceptable.

It's far too vast of a topic to be attributed to any one metric. Miles driven have plummeted the past few years, yet deaths are way up. All the following and many many more factors are all at play:
- phones
- bigger cars
- faster speeds
- NO enforcement
- lack of pedestrian infrastructure in growing population centers

The US has no intention / interests in reducing auto fatalities
it'll just be a trial around work zones if anythng

Something definitely not right then, but all I can say is it's FL.
Avoid the public schools for obvious reasons.......

Still makes no sense. Just tell them it was never driven or registered back in CT.
Proof of registration is not a prerequisite for registration unless you're trying to avoid sales tax without a title or something.

Has to be done in CT. No rush, cops don't do traffic patrol and there's a property tax on it in CT.

If you're proposing pilot programs in which we pay / offer tax credits to companies that employ them,
then yes, I agree that sounds like a more effective option.

Wtf, wonder how much of this is tied to healthcare costs vs actual collision damage

Prison is a fixed cost, NOT a nightly rate.
But yes, prisons cost lots of money unless you can get by without building one.

For $200/mo I would be driving uninsured regardless of age.

"Criminal acts to survive"
Are we still talking about US here? Nobody has to crime to survive in this country.
edit: people seriously expect those living in poverty to commit crimes? you people lack respect for those trying to climb the ladder in areas of concentrated poverty

And yet tons of other folks , by far the vast majority, growing up in poverty still struggle courageously without resorting to crime.
I'd rather give them $500/mo.

It's down 4% this morning alone.
We're in bank run territory right now which means recessionary backdrop will keep it lower than last year, despite the ongoing pillaging of Ukraine.

We're still in record budget years.

RE infrastructure.......I come from TX where gentrification is dramatically densifying old urban cores that lack proper infrastructure.
However, that gentrification is also driving lower incomes to fill up the suburbs / exurbs that were never planned with proper pedestrian infrastructure to begin with.....no will it be affordable for decades to come.
