The reason there was shock is because this part of the family is racist. Not full-blown white hood and cross burning, but still prejudiced. My fiancée (thank God) is NOT racist, but this portion of her family is.

Sorry, I forgot to add they were asking about gender. Do i want a boy or girl, but I thought they were asking about muffin flavors.
