Then they would be forced to release theirs too (not for free ... course) before stability.ai erodes the entire market and they can no longer make the trillions they dreamed of. Maybe, open assistant by Stability.ai is doing this type of manual dataset collection. The training data and the model weights are supposed to be released once training is complete
