Drugs. Crime. Housing issues. Schools are trash. Gangs. North Yonkers native.

Yonkers is a safe city comparatively speaking though, isn’t it?

Eh. If you keep on your toes you’ll be fine I guess but that’s everywhere.

I mean objectively like crimes per capita or whatever

Our crimes are not reported officially. The same company that owns channel 12 News, owns our red light cameras, owns part of optimum/altice, owns the technology and computers in our school system, and is a major contributor to our Police departments.
All the illegal crap that cops do does not get reported at all. Internal affairs has been in Yonkers for over 25 years at this point and nothing gets done because they are stonewalled out. Some of the investigators happen to be related to spano and his father's Italian mob family.
There are tons of violence, robberies, stabbings, shootings. This hasn't been reported on since about 2010 because you can't gentrify an area if gentiles are afraid of moving in. The guy from Yonkers voice used to go in hard on all of that stuff but even he is being swayed.
We just had a lawsuit thrown out of the court system here where a certain lawyer, turned politician, who had his nephew killed to get him to fall in line under the mayor's grand scheme tried to reveal what was happening and it was tossed out.
The city's unofficial motto is Yonkers where nothing's on the level. Almost everything is run by someone connected to the spano mob family.

Let’s not forget that the cops may actually refuse to take a report of real crime, depending on who you are and where you live. That certainly skews the statistics.

Have had that happen multiple times. Then when i asked for their information to report them for refusing to do a report they kept showing up near my home and work for weeks.

Dk. You would have to google the stats. I just know I never felt fully safe living in Yonkers. Things may have changed since I left but I grew up there and lived there for 30+ years and I’m glad I left
