I'm afraid this absurd war will expand.
Slava Oukraïni.
Edit: I believe Ukranians are currently fighting with their very blood for our democratic western way of life. The axes are clear Russia/China/North Korea/Iran vs NATO+. India, for example, are opportunistically betting on Russia because they want cheap oil - bad short term bet. If Ukraine fall, the aligned nations fall - so it can 't happen from the western point of view.
My bet? Russian will fall. For the next 50 years or so, they will try to reconstruct from an outdated ideology. In the meantime, energy crisis will bring us all back to a decreasing GDP world where war won't be affordable anymore, except in terms of human life.

How effective Belarus military in attacking Ukraine is question mark here. I can't believe they will be better than Russian.

Why would anyone want to fight Ukrainians? They have proven to be tough as nails.

Yeah.... I'm calling bullshit on this narrative. IF there was a missile, it was russian, not Ukrainian.

It very well was likely a Ukranian anti Air missile fired to intercept a Russian ground atrack missile that was fired from Belarus to Ukraine.
Thurak0 t1_j2c7o97 wrote
Even if it was Ukrainian... letting Russians invade from Belarus in February and let them shoot missiles from their territory makes them a war participant already. An perhaps astray anti air missile that did not cause any casualties is just a piss poor excuse for Belarus to escalate.

Probably is a genuine event, but as usual Belarus self-proclaimed government tries to frame it as deliberate attack for propaganda. I doubt anything will follow from it

I highly doubt India would want Russia to win, their opportunity has been getting cheap oil because Russia is desperate to sell. China in the same group would also complicate it as China and India aren't buddies either, they've got border disputes that do get violent. I am afraid this war doesn't look like it's going to end, there's this weird arrogance and insistence amongst the Kremlin that worries me a lot. I was dumb enough to believe September would be the month it ends in a truce or some settlement, but it's clear there's no going on back for Russia.

Or turn on the leader they already hate. The reason Belarus is such a puppet right now is because Lukashenko used Russia to keep himself in power; he wasn’t able to do it on his own.

I think everyone here is being a little too insistent that a missile attack would be met with ground troops and not return fire of missiles.

> The missile landed near the city of Ivanovo in the Brest region in the country, Russian state-owned news agency TASS reported, citing the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry, which added that the missile fell between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. local time.
> Belarus' air defenses took down the missile near the village of Harbacha in the Brest region, which is located around nine miles from the Ukrainian border, the Belarusian defense ministry said.
> It has been reportedly assumed that the S-300 missile accidentally fell in Belarusian territory the same way that a Russian-made missile landed in NATO member Poland in November, raising concerns about a possible escalation of the Russian war going beyond Ukrainian borders.
