I had the dubious honour of deploying to Kosovo in 1999 to stop the genocide going on then.

I hope the extremists fuelling the flames of violence are shone a light on. So that reasonable leaders can re-take control.

Ah yes, the honourable western soldiers who were deployed to Kosovo with no intention other than to maintain peace .

I salute you, sir. I hope you weren't as "honourable" as your German buddies in the video.

Ah yes, as usual, lies lies, and more lies from anti-Westerners. The civilian in the car pulled out a weapon and tried to shoot the German peacekeepers, they have the right to shoot back and that's what they did, hence the bullet holes in the windshield.

I saw a weapon removed from the vehicle so what is the issue with the German actions here? If you arm yourself you are a legitimate target.

I don't think you know the backstory of this incident. The yellow Lada drove up on the German checkpoint, firing AKs and holding grenades. The german troops responded appropriately

Well yes, we went to stop a genocide and peace keep. Could of stayed home and let them keep killing each other. But no, we came to put our necks on the line to try help. No need to thank me MasnaSarma88.

> Hundreds of ethnic Serbs, outraged over the arrest of an ex-police officer, set up roadblocks on December 10 in Serb-majority northern Kosovo which have paralysed traffic through two border crossings.

> In November, hundreds of Serbian police officers embedded in the Kosovo police - as well as judges, prosecutors and other officials - walked off the job to protest against a controversial decision to ban Serbs living in Kosovo from using Serbian-issued licence plates.
