Why are Serbians perpetually unhappy

- Incompetent and corrupt government.
- Memories of the good old days with Tito who could somewhat stop us from killing each other for stupid reasons. Can't say if they really were better but the older people say they were.
- Exploitative labor policies that let foreign companies treat workers like crap. Even worse when lower and middle management is ours because you get useless ass kissers in those positions due to nepotism.
- Small wages and high prices. You have to spend carefully. Like "Can I afford to buy this fruit yoghurt for almost 1$" kind of carefully. My mother always compares it to Germany where you don't have to worry about how much you are spending on food.
- The NATO bombing. We are all of the opinion that it was very much unjustified. And that it ruined our economy because a bunch of factories got destroyed.
- Being on the way to EU membership for however long and always getting told it's gonna happen soon. Makes you feel like a clown when it's "just one more thing" everytime we are supposedly about to become members. Because that's how we are told by the government.
- Just in general being sort of isolated and look down on by others. It's really troubling seeing how many people are saying that we should have been bombed to oblivion like we aren't human and then call themselves the good guys. If you need proof of the apathy the big players in the west have for people here in the Balkans here is a interesting fact from the whole Bosnia disaster. The USA sent surplus military rations to Bosnia as relief packages. They were from the Vietnam war and were 20 years past the expiration date. Also they were labeled beef while actually being pork... and were given to Muslim people who can't eat pork.
All of this and more is the reason young people get dual citizenship and run away.

What exactly do you mean it wasn’t justified? They had dialogues for months and Milosevic refused to budge under any circumstance. He refused to end the mass expulsion of Albanians, and refused to remove his military, police, and paramilitary groups.
They were left with no choice
