Would love to see an account of the 10 Billion and change Clinton helped raise for Haiti after the earthquake a decade ago. Apparently about 89% of the money went to outside agencies and private contractors who did who knows what, and 11% went to the Haitian govt and Haitian businesses. But hey, I'm sure it is all accounted for and completely on the up and up.

Haiti is a great example of how unfettered capitalism can lead to intense corruption and eventual collapse in a developing nation.

Wealthy nations promised Haiti the world and then proceeded to rob them blind - imperialism won out over humanitarianism.

There isn't much to say, Haiti doesn't want foreign intervention in the issue (the people appear to be at odds with the president in who asked for it) and with little desire for foreign intervention on behalf of the US and international community the gangs will control Port-au-Prince and Haiti as the new normal until something radically changes.
