It also matters what the value-added is in terms of exports. For example, importing crude and exporting refined products shows in gross amounts but supports few ongoing jobs (apart from the initial boost from refinery construction).

Of course let's remember per capita when showing india in positive light.But conveniently forget about it for things like CO2 emissions, rapes etc.
There is absolutely no need to use total exports per capita. Per capita matrix is to be used at certain use cases not as per convenience.

It's weird how India treats their population as the most important factor in some things, and other times like it doesn't exist...
