Actually, I saw that people there often take hardcore drugs like meth to stave off hunger. It’s apparently a staple of being North Korean.

Weed is actually 100% legal in NK also

North Korea still uses forced viewing of public executions to intimidate its citizens into subjugation. I've watched several YouTube videos with interviews with young NK defectors, and they all talk about their experiences with witnessing their first executions as a child, generally by firing squad.
