yes but it s uncertain for how long it will stay this way. most country since the pandemic realize they couldn't built those and start investing into fab. us just give 50 billion for Intel and others while tsmc announce the gonna build fabs in the us. at the same time china Russia and the ue start massive effort to lift this dependence. in 10 year even if taiwan is a main hub it will be easier to do without. specially since we are at the end of Moore law and that we can t go tinier with the actual silicon it will let ample time for other to compete but that s not going to happen quickly but it s something to be aware
