I live in Luxembourg and apparently we have the lowest inflation in the EU. But no one can explain to me why, or how we have achieved it.

Your small country is immensely wealthy and I'm sure the government can afford to subsidize everything behind the scenes.

Price controls are part of why healthcare is not as outrageous in Switzerland as in the US. So are subsidies. Even though thee is no universal option.

It's interesting that CNBC is promoting the price controls and the regulation which are antithetical to what it espouse all day long.

I mean just because something works in Switzerland doesn’t mean it’ll work elsewhere

Big fan of Switzerland but what I've heard from other people is basically that everything in Switzerland is expensive already.

yeah. Nice country to visit, but can't afford to stay long. Makes me wonder which country is more expensive (for tourists) Switzerland or Bahamas. For Bahamas, i can somewhat understand. Everything has to be imported

It's really commendable that they let any money that needs laundering pass through their banks. They are great!

While being a fan of Switzerland may not be the same as a fan of Russia, or Nazi Germany, it's at least up there with being a fan of the Philippines, or Israel.

Yeah, easy to have a good quality of life when the country is the money laundering capitol of the world.

And yet the newest gas bill really hurt. Inflation is low, but things are still costly and some stuff really picked up the pace.

Majority of the population is employed in cooperatives, which are focused on the well-being of their workers/members and their community, instead of focusing on gains of shareholders.

This is major contribution to low inflation.
