Why is Australia even worth spying on? Russia is just a minor trading partner and we've obviously not a military threat to them (at least not on paper, but given its abysmal performance against Ukraine maybe we are)

Australia has a lot of access to American and NATO military equipment and intelligence through sharing and cooperation agreements so it's valuable to infiltrate
