Metro and grab an Uber
I think the garage by the old Mandarin (now the Salamander) on Maryland Ave is $20 per day. It is very much walking distance from there to the Wharf.
Sometimes they fill up though. Parking can be a pain at the wharf.
the metro park and ride
Parking at the intercontinental valet is $65 and overnight at the public garages right at the warf is $60 FYI. Just stayed there two weeks ago and just did valet
There is plenty of street parking within a 5 min walk if you’re willing to risk it.
Don't park. Just take the Metro or an Uber. You'll have both money and time.
Thank you!
Most of these are concentrated in the office & hotel dense area just north of the highway (Federal Center) which is close-by but not necessarily intuitive if you’re not from around. The neighborhoods of SW don’t have much other than street parking. Be sure to pick one that’s 24/7
