Why would restaurants ship live king crab when you have better tasting Chesapeake blue crab only 30 miles away. You're in blue crab territory. If you want fresh king crab, move to the west coast.
King crab sant be fished right now, so most restaurants don’t carry it. It’s just to expensive. Best bet is to go and get your own, wharf/Costco. And I would get them now because they will disappear in the near future.
Ranch 99, H Mart and Great Wall supermarket often have live king crab for about $30-$40 a lb, so about $150 each. Never seen it in a restaurant here. It would be over $500 served in a restaurant so the demand likely isn't there.
