Moving to a new place in DC and need to get rid of some furniture that I've outgrown or just won't work with my new space. I spent a decent amount on my stuff, so don't want to give it away for free. What's are the best platforms to sell furniture in DC? Only posted on Facebook Marketplace so far.

Facebook Marketplace is the best from experience. There's also Craigslist but I feel like fewer people use that these days to buy stuff.

Tip: If you want to move your furniture quickly, set a low price. People are often looking for deals. Trust me, it's better to get rid of something for a lower price immediately than to warehouse it for a higher price later.

There are smaller apps like Offerup that might work too but have never tried those.

Kaiyo is another option. Very convenient but high commissions.

I've had some luck selling on Nextdoor.

Yes, don’t be sentimental. For example you can get a ton of couches at a 100 or less price point but because folks paid a lot for it they want to price it at like 300/400. Hard to sell those goods when there’s tons of cheap options. Check out what other similar items are going for in marketplace and price similarly
