DC neighborhood most similar to Richmond VA?

Trying to settle a debate with a friend. I say Mt. Pleasant or Columbia Heights, she says Petworth. Obviously nothing can replicate the magic of RVA, but if you had to pick one, which would it be?

EDIT: Both of us are most familiar with The Fan/Carytown, so that’s what we would be comparing it to.

I guess it would depend on which neighborhood of Richmond. I'm from DC but went to college at VCU. Richmond does have a really nice feel. Seems like every block has a little store or business or a little neighborhood park

Adams Morgan and Mt. Pleasant have Fan District/Carytown vibes.

I would say 16th street NW, going up towards silver spring nw. Richmond has a nice historical feel houses are much bigger sorta like the 16th street houses.

Having lived in both (1700 block of Hanover and near VCU on Grace), it's not an easy compare. Architecturally, pretty much anywhere between U and Mass Ave. In terms of vibe, U and 14th, U and 6th, Columbia Heights. But it's denser and more crowded in DC, so maybe Cleveland Park or Woodley Park.

I moved from the Fan to Shaw. Pretty happy with the same old Victorian houses.
