As a former but no longer car driver my expectation is if you want me to go somewhere transit inaccessible, and you or you and other suburban friends are the ones picking the location and it's a small group, then one of you drive me from and to the nearest metro stop. Leaving transit accessible areas is already inconvenient and if I have to take an Uber also expensive so if you want me to come to you somewhere that isn't on the metro or in the city it's reasonable to expect a lift since I'm making things convenient for you and inconvenient for me already so ride to and from metro is a fair compromise.
