For me, it is absolutely worth it because my priorities include 1) not getting pregnant, 2) using forms of birth control that are compatible with my high blood pressure, and 3) not having a period. For #3, having not had a period for so many years, I don’t think I could ever go back to that misery.

I do not get my period on nexplanon. Not many people do. The implant is 99.99% effective. I’m not sure how it interacts with people who have high blood pressure, but those other two things you most likely would not have to worry about!

That’s good to know, I’ll have to talk to my physician about that as an option! I only have one girlfriend who had it and she wound up with worse periods, so I have always thought to avoid it.

I gotcha. Yeah I was on depo before nexplanon and also did not get my period on that. My OB/GYN told me that since I stopped my period on depo my body would most likely react the same to nexplanon. Depends on the person I suppose!
