The NWSL championship game is this Saturday at Audi field at 8 pm, with the Portland Thorns and Kansas City Current in the final. The Spirit Squadron (Washington Spirit supporter’s group) has a whole bunch of stuff lined up prior/after the game.

If you’re looking to get into women’s sports, come on out!

This Thursday, the Carnegie Institution for Science's Earth and Planets Laboratory is hosting in-person Neighborhood Lectures on campus for the first time since COVID began.

Dr. Rebecca Bernstein, the Giant Magellan Telescope's (GMT) chief of science, is in town and giving a talk entitled, "In Pursuit of Light, Building the Giant Magellan Telescope."

The GMT is a groundbreaking next-generation telescope with a unique suite of spectrographs and cameras that will give astrophysicists the tools to unravel the mysteries of dark matter, dark energy, black holes, and the origin of our universe.

In this talk, Bernstein will take you behind the scenes to learn how the GMT is being designed and constructed to achieve these feats, discover cutting-edge technology that will enable its performance, and get a glimpse of the universe of scientific discoveries that await.
