Depressing to think there are entire schools full of children that are (at risk of) not being fed by their parents to the extent that a broad program like this is needed.

I think it was more so the parents didn’t have the resources. It’s another reason why free lunches were given out during the past few summers. A lot of people lost their jobs and it was a program to make food one less thing to worry about.
