Peak fall + peak Halloween decorations!
Rock Creek Park trails. Arboretum. Arlington side of the river from Rosslyn to DCA. Hains Point. Anacostia Park/River bike path. C&O canal as far as you want.
If you’re already in G’town, go north onto the Dumbarton Park trails or through Glover Archbald.
If you have transportation, walk around Hains Point.

Roosevelt Island, especially if you're already in Georgetown.
Arboretum
Take the trail from gravelly park, or Potomac avenue in the palisades
Fort DuPont Park. Anacostia Park.
+1 for Hains Point, walking from DuPont into Georgetown is nice, and it’s nice to walk by the Spanish steps in DuPont.

Walk an avenue? Here's a nice article about walking Mass Ave:
I've walked Mass Ave before from Dupont Circle to Maryland. It was pretty fun! I enjoy picking a street and walking it in general.

I really like the walk down Connecticut from Woodley Park to Dupont.
The Franciscan Monsatery Gardens in Brookland are pretty cool! You could probably do a pretty decent loop from the metro to the gardens and back.
The Metropolitan Branch Trail goes from Fort Totten to NoMa. You could do some/all of the trail.

Capitol Hill. Especially now during peak fall color.
