That RSV number is a huge underreport. For one, they simply don't test adults at all, including those who end up in the ER, like my wife this week, and for another they don't bother testing kids unless admitted. Last year it took me something like four months to stop hacking out my lungs, and my kid basically coughed non-stop from July to March.
And the stupid thing is, the test is cheap, easy and 100 percent reliable, can be done at home, and literally no one wants to sell it. Yeah, okay, the treatment for RSV and other "colds" is the same, but boy it'd be nice not to go give it to other family members and know what a ride we're going to be in for.

I've been wondering why they aren't reporting that adults are suffering from this too. I've been sick since Monday and have been wondering if other adults are also getting sick.

My household tested positive for the flu recently. Like in the last two weeks.

Yes I don’t see why they don’t test anything and everything. What the fuck for how expensive the care is.

I feel like it’s being under reported as well. I’ve seen a lot of kiddos and adults who had similar issues during the same time. Medical professionals could not help them because they tested negative for Covid.
