The final Open Streets of the year will take place on Ward 3’s Wisconsin Avenue, where one mile will be closed to cars and open to people to bike, walk, scoot, and play in a reimagining of public space. Explore all the amenities that Friendship Heights and Tenleytown have to offer and be sure to participate in a fitness or yoga class in one of our activation zones at no cost!

Popular programming will return this fall, including arts and crafts, live music, safety demonstrations, and more. The event is free and suitable for people of ALL ages and abilities.

No cars, just people.

i like them! fun activities, great way to meet some neighbors, and makes it easier to check out local businesses. cars can be so loud so it’s also nice to not have that constant noise. i wish we had more car free streets in dc (cough M street in Georgetown cough cough)

its a great program, the only people who dont like it are car brains who cant imagine any stretch of road being used for anything but them getting to starbucks faster
