Xfinity (aka Comcast, using existing coaxial cable lines originally strung up for analog cable tv signals) is an inferior technology to FIOS (fiber optic lines specifically intended for digital signals). It's not a matter of opinion. Xfinity's technology shares bandwidth with your neighbors, so the suckage can increase during times of heavy use. I'm guessing many people took a hit during the pandemic when everyone was suddenly doing two way video conferencing all day.

Inferior tech, but if Verizon hobbles your speeds the underlying tech doesn’t matter much.
