Hi All,
I've got a friend from Mississippi who misses boiled peanuts.
Is there any place in the District that sells them (that aren't just the canned kind?)

The Bayou bakery in Arlington had them in the before times. Not sure about now.
There also was a shop at Eden center by pho hai Duong that had them regularly I can’t remember the name.
Sometimes the gas station by ft belvoir entrance

Had them at Crazy Aunt Helen’s.
I've heard good things about the Boil-N-Bag ones you can buy online.
I have never seen them in NOVA. A friend of mine loves them and has to make his own unless he goes down to the southern part of Virginia.
Confirmed they are on the menu!
I haven't had boiled peanuts since I lived in LA... And by LA, of course, I mean Lower Alabama.
They do have them and they are beyond horrible. First time no salt, they then dumped about a cup of salt on them. Same thing next time. Never again.
Good to know. They aren’t my thing so haven’t had them. My friend got them and ate the whole bowl while raving soooooo went with that. Sounds like I should not trust her tastebuds lol
It’s possible they have improved. CAH is super fun I love their events and the drinks are good. The food meh at best. I just eat before I go now and enjoy the rest! Hopefully, they’ve just improved the food though
I think I've seen these at Asian markets
Yeah, you're gonna need to make your own, they're just not a thing around here. As others have mentioned, asian supermarkets usually have raw peanuts.
