Unfortunately there is not a train that gets close enough in between the two points that I was going. Besides the fact that even if there was the idea of the crowds was not a good one.

Fair enough. Sounds better than spending $50 to sit in an Uber for an hr, but to each their own.

When I called the Uber in the morning I did not realize how bad it was going to be. Normally its a short reasonably priced trip and by the time I did it was too late to take metro or walk or I would have been late.

The National is two blocks from Metro Center and Kalorama is an easy walk to either Dupont or Woodley Park.

And by the time I walked to those metro stops road the escalators and waded through all of the crowded and sweaty trains I could have walked home!!!!! But you know the thought never crossed my mind to take metro lol.

Most of the trains actually have very good airflow. Don't think I sweated once...
