Have you actually looked into them? Most of the time they’re 1 bedroom on an individual lease in a house if it’s actually that low and not a scam.

You are not going to find anywhere that’s your own place (i.e. a real 1 bed 1 bath living unit) for under $1000 in DC proper and you’d still be lucky to find it in most surrounding areas.
