So I have been following this company Li-Cycle. Basically some engineers realized if all cars r gonna have batteries, we will need to recycle them. So they has developed the tech, made this product market viable, and is growing.
Anyone else think this company has good future potential, or am I just trying too hard to pick the next unicorn? Their financials aren't bad, but nothing to brag about yet.

Huh? This company was founded by two former hatch engineers and uses hatch for all their engineering. How do you think they are connected to tesla? Maybe you’re thinking redwood?
Need to look into their contracts. Hard to tell who Glencore is taking advantage of more - li-cycle or kids in the Congo.

Listen folks EVs won’t be charged in the future on the go. EV “ gas stations” will be battery ports you swap your batteries for full cells at a cost. This was teslas original idea and concept for their cars to have modular battery packs you can swap out in minutes at tesla stations across America.
Issue is we don’t have the ability to make that much fucking batteries
Even if batteries r hot swapped, they will wear out over time and the "Gas stations" will need to recycle the worn out ones and buy new ones. We cant just produce new ones forever, they require very limited rare materials.

For now. I think a new source of battery’s will be the future not the lithium ion we use now. Like how we went from copper sulfate to nickel iron to alkaline to lithium ion. Progression to a non degradable source.
There's 2 others but they don't have the market cap to be talked about here. One has a working pilot. Both have received millions in government grants for the work they're doing.

I am sure more competitors will come online over time, just seemed like a no brainer emerging market over next 10 years. But no one is talking about it and the price has been pretty flat. Makes you start to wonder if you are missing something....

This is the NIO model, which seems to be quite efficient and actually works, however, I suspect it’s more applicable in huge cities.
If they can grab the small end market- scooter, e-bike, etc.
