DELL is pursuing the big smart city market

$DELL partnered with $AFFU OneMind for their “Command & Control” software that is designed to help manage smart cities and even conventional cities

The smart city market is estimated at over $1 trillion annually

In addition to smart cities, a large number of 10,000 cities globally use millions of IOT devices such as cameras and tracking devices in order to manage their cities and are therefore potential customers for DELL’s offering of OneMind’s “Command & Control” “HyperVisor”.

In 2022, the “HyperVisor” was named Command & Control software for world’s largest Smart City project

DELL’s new partnership with AFFU OneMind could have a big impact on DELL’s smart city sales

Watch for announcements from DELL

The last three Dells I bought sucked. Our company switched from Lenovo to Dell and it was an unmitigated disaster. Sorry, I don’t want them managing my city.

Honestly it depends on what model. Both Dell and Lenovo offer both consumer level and professional level gear. Our company switched us to consumer level Lenovo and that was also quite terrible.

Don't expect too much from any cheap laptops, even some of the expensive ones are hit and miss.

What I see here is another Data center play, which is fine, they bought EMC for a reason, this sells more of their server hardware.
