Right now its about 18 ounces for a dow jones share. This has happend multipule times in history. What this draws is a perfect picture of inflation. For example; in 1959 this was also the case, 18 ounces for 1 dow jones share. Then again in 1972, then 1997, then 2006, then 2017, then 2019, then 2021 and then this year.

For the record the price of a down jones share in 1959 was; around 6k 1972 was; around 7k 1997 was; around 7,5k 2006 was; around 11,5k 2017 was; around 22k 2019 was; around 26k 2021 was; around 34k

Now what this means, is that the true value of this particulair stock has not changed allot. Only the number of dollars has increased.
