I'd wager this plant has been in Vermont for a greater portion of its life than a lot of people on this subreddit. It's discriminatory to question its Vermontiness just because of its tropical ancestry (not saying you were, but it's a frustratingly common experience among Vermonters who are houseplants)

I love how my question drew downvotes, lol. People have firmly separated themselves into camps on this dogs issue.

All my plants are vermont plants, even the cacti. And my dog is a vermont dog who enjoys the vermont snow.
