I have seen ads for it, and I am tempted to switch, but I was wondering if anyone had first hand experience with the company? is the service comparable to AT&T, Verizon, or T-mobile? the reviews I have seen don't seem too bad, but looking at nation wide reviews don't always translate to Vermont

Mint Mobile runs on the T-Mobile network, so coverage should be more or less the same.

I use a Mint sim in my router for wireless in a garage I rent in Richmond. Seems to have better service than my Xfinity based phone.

I was looking to switch a couple years ago to Mint from Verizon... everything I read indicated that Visible would be better in Vermont. I went with them and have had no problems...good luck.

Been using mint for years. I like it a lot because it's cheap and I generally don't use much data so I apt like $200 a year for...3?4? Gigs. I generally get pretty decent signal is most places besides at home and in other remote areas, but wifi calling is super easy to enable on most phones. Your phone choice matters. My spouse has also been on mint for years but their phone (I think is a Samsung s8 ) gets jack shit in the weirdest place. Like downtown Montpelier, no signal ever. But my Samsung a51 has gets fair signal there.

Over all though, I love it and am glad I made the choice to give it a go those 6 plus years ago.

I recently switched from Visible to Mint, mostly because when the Verizon network that runs Visible gets congested the Visible service is severely curtailed. Mint is better in this regard, reception is a tossup depending on what part of town or the state I am in, but Mint seems to be picky with certain devices. I needed to do far more tuning to my Pixel 6a to make it work well with mint than I've had to do with any carrier I've used in the last 10 years.

I have mint mobile and it works mostly fine. In chittenden county no problems whatsoever but you start to run into issues when you're on certain parts of the mountains or in the rural areas of the state. One big gripe though is that the international fees are insane and I'm swapping to a different carrier just for ease of use in our northern neighbor.

I did a trial and had zero service most places in rural-ish central vermont with an iphone se2.

Red pocket and verizon prepaid (the nvmos i've used) worked much better - but since then i've switched to verizon postpaid. I decided that meets my needs better despite being 3x the price. Though AT&T may get slightly better service where I live.
