Hey all, I've been reading about the snowstorm in the northeast and am kinda intimated by it. I know fall is the best time to visit Vermont but I'll be making a trip to NYC in early January and really want to travel to Vermont first before I head to NYC. Ideally, I would be there from Jan 1-Jan 6 in an Airbnb in Burlington or Stowe. Do you guys think it'll be worth it to visit Vermont around that time or is it gonna be just snow and nothing to do? Any suggestions/discussions shall be appreciated! I'm from AZ btw.

PS: Also how's the public transportation there btw?

Yeah public transportation borderline doesn’t exist in VT. To live here you MUST own a reliable car.
As for what to do, it depends on what you are into. There is plenty to do in the winter, if you are into winter things. Also this storm we just got wasn’t shit. We got like 4-6”. Barely enough to cover the dirt.
If you are into skiing/snowshoeing, better to come in February when we have some real snow. If you just want to be outdoorsy and sightsee and explore towns, summer and fall is better. If you want peak foliage, first week of October is generally the best time to come for that.
