That was two days ago. They come in , stay a bit, and head back out. They seem to be still arriving though. This group of a few hundred was the only group I saw. A week previous there were thousands. No telling when the migration ends but I've heard the first week in December is usually it.

I head a large flock of geese flying overhead a few days ago. I wonder if they were these.

I saw a huge flock of these in Addison near the dead creek area yesterday. There must have been 1000s of them it was really impressive!

It’s too bad they are not great to eat, because they are terribly overpopulated and destroying tundra habitat, putting other species at risk, and natural predators are not keeping them in check (result of population declines in those species).
