Nah, it's the part where they're outright saying if they lose it's rigged but if they win it's legit. It's the part where they're saying they'll make it so no democrat ever wins again. It's the part where they won't vote to help veterans and children and old and poor people because they don't want to give a win to democrats. It's the part where a lot of them are still saying the 2020 election was stolen. But yeah, let's put it on DNC talking points instead of the hate and lies and vitriol that the republicans are literally saying daily.

Another example of Trump not putting in any effort to find out what is really going on. Malloy speaks like Trump. Malloy courted Trump. Malloy supported the rigged 2020 election conspiracy. Trump likes sycophants, and that's good enough for him. Malloy is going to lose by a huge margin, and even though that is easy to predict from pre-election surveys, it will come as a total surprise to Trump, who will then throw Malloy under the bus and blame him for wasting Trump's endorsement.

Lol, the GOP is actively working to take votes away from people. They just celebrated a successful effort to stop Pennsylvania from counting ballots if there is an issue with the date on the ballot.
> Undated and incorrectly dated ballots have been at the center of a years-long legal fight in Pennsylvania. State law requires that voters date their ballots, even though state law also specifies that ballots must be received by election officials by the close of polls for them to count. That means the date when they are cast has no bearing on whether they’re counted.

Nope, born and raised in Northern Franklin county Vermont. Most people here agree Sarah George needs to be voted out, so I don't see why anyone that wants her out would vote for another Democrat who no doubt supports her "criminal justice reform". The standard boilerplate position of Democrats is to let violent offenders including murders out of jail and give them absurdly low bail. That isn't a policy worth supporting. Being weak on crime literally means that people will be brutally murdered and assaulted. I think anyone that lets a criminal off the hook should be charged with whatever crime the person then commits. In Sarah George's case see should be charged with multiple murders and locked up for life. Her goal isn't to help anyone. She is intentionally unleashing criminals onto our streets to leave a wake of destruction for her own personal financial gain. She is a stochastic terrorist.

Misquoted.
Specifically, in the first sentence, the word written by Twain in his notebook (spanning 1904-1908) was “republican”, not “democratic”. More importantly, the excerpt was the fifth paragraph in a longer note by Twain, and it was preceded by four paragraphs which provide meaningful context for his use of the word “patriotism”. Here are the five paragraphs:
“A Patriot is merely a rebel at the start.
In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot. The soul and substance of what customarily ranks as patriotism is moral cowardice and always has been.
In any civic crisis of a great and dangerous sort the common herd is not privately anxious about the rights and wrongs of the matter, it is only anxious to be on the winning side.
In the North, before the war, the man who opposed slavery was despised and ostracized, and insulted. By the "patriots." Then, by and by, the "patriots" went over to his side, and thenceforth his attitude became patriotism.
There are two kinds of patriotism -- monarchical patriotism and republican patriotism. In the one case the government and the king may rightfully furnish you their notions of patriotism; in the other, neither the government nor the entire nation is privileged to dictate to any individual what the form of his patriotism shall be. The gospel of the monarchical patriotism is: "The King can do no wrong." We have adopted it with all its servility, with an unimportant change in the wording: "Our country, right or wrong!" My how times have changed, when to "make love to someone" meant to flirt and the Republicans were the progressives despised by wealthy southern slave holders. I don't know, but for the sake of clarity, I'd argue Twain wasn't referring to the "republican" party (small 'r' if your copying is correct) but rather anyone whose patriotism is devoted to the republic defined as "a political system in which the supreme power lies in a body of citizens who can elect people to represent them..." So, in this instance, given the change in meaning between republican then and Republican now, "democratic" (small 'd') might be more accurate (though I'm not defending the misquote).
