I think Winooski is the only city that starts with W.

I'm sitting in Windsor right now, about to go to Warren, passing Woodstock, White River Junction. Looking at the map, Weathersfield, Wardsboro, Windham, Weston, Windhall, Woodford, Woodbury, Wilmington, Wittingham, whoopsy daisy, wafflehouse, whippoorwill (I lost it near the end, but seriously a lot of Ws)

Yeah those are towns. But yes, lots of towns start with W and I don't think there's a specific reason behind it.

So a No to my question of if it's a point of state pride.

I think the point is that Vermont might have a lot of towns that start with W, we don't have a lot of cities - whether they start with W or not. May sound picky but it is what it is.

Didn't realize y'all split hairs over terms. Where I'm from town/city is used interchangeably
