Just trying to get used to skiing again after years of not skiing. I never progressed beyond green circles before but I’ve progressed past the bunny slope. Is there a green circle trail at Bolton Valley that you recommend as the easiest one?

Once you get to it, Sherman’s Pass from top of Vista is a good cruise.

Even though Sherman's pass is a green, there are a few spots that could be pretty scary to someone just graduating from the bunny slopes (Mighty Mite), plus it's loooooong and other skiers go crazy fast down it which can also be daunting - once you're very comfortable with Snowflake Bently, lower bently, sprig o' line, and Bear Run, then do Sherman's Pass once you've built up some stamina! Have fun!!!!!

Stay on the main mountain Timberline is a little harder. Rope tow if seriously a beginner, or Snowflake lift. Either greens off that are easiest. After that upgrade to Midmountain lift greens.

Agreed! Sprig o Pine trail off snowflake lift and Bear Run off mid mountain lift. Nice and easy.

Looks like they schedule certain lifts closed certain days of the week. Not sure Snowflake runs on Mondays. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Their lift plan is always posted on the full snow report daily with updates.

I think Snowflake is always in operation.

Oh, and this is my first season back skiing in 23 years. Turns out, it's like riding a bike. You'll be fine!

Good for you! It’s been nothing but Murphy’s Law for me so far but I’m still determined. :)

Snowflake at Bolton. Lots of green trails at Smuggs too almost all of Morse is green trails you could give the village or the magic lift a try.

Thanks.

Morse as in closed?

(Village and Magic: which mountain, Morse?)

Smuggs maybe. I was wanting to stay with the Bolton price point.

Morse mountain at smuggs is all greens. They have Morse only tickets that are like 59 dollars.

Thanks! Good to know. Smuggs trail map is 1000% easier to read than Bolton (when you zoom in. Not fuzzy)!

Bear Run and Sprig of Pine are the next steps past the rope tow, both consistent pitch and always groomed. Snowflake Bentley next probably. Avoid Deer Run, it's just a long traverse to a narrow pitch straight downhill. Very stupid trail.

Once you head up top Sherman's Pass is the way down but I actually suggest ducking off right above the big switchback onto Swing and making your way down bearing right towards the Wilderness liftline. It avoids both all the people coming off the black trails on upper mountain and the steeper face at the bottom of Sherman's. If you're there tomorrow it will be groomed the whole way down back to the main base.

So, you go up Snowflake and down Sprig O Pine… to end up at the wrong lift (Mid Mt)? To do it again you walk over to Snowflake?

Easier to go up Mid Mt and down Bear Run because the trail ends at your lift?

(I see Bear Run but not Deer Run but the only trail map I can find is fuzzy when I zoom in to read the words.)

Morse is the Mtn that the Village and Magic lifts are located.

Yeah, it’s hard to beat Bolton midweek lift prices. Bolton tends to lose their snow fast when it warms up so I would get over there and have fun soon.
