Yes it is. I went to high-school in Central Vermont, and our mascot was a white-robed, pointy-hooded guy on a horse. It was disturbingly blatant, painted huge on the gym wall.

Ours was a confederate soldier wearing blue and gray. All the racist alumni came out a few years ago when they finally changed it.
