I completely agree but it is a special place. It does have some unique aspects.

No doubt. I just can't imagine living there. Let alone prison or poverty in the US or Louisiana specifically.

The 'dirty south' Gulf Coast is a true 3rd world territory. Louisiana does have the best food in the country though, specifically in the central south.
