fuck that noise. They didn’t make that money in a vacuum, no matter what bootstraps bullshit they espouse. They had the benefit of living in a society, with all the infrastructure, support, and benefits that entails. They have an obligation to give back to that society.

Where do you think the money goes? It's giving jobs to architects, electricians, sculptors, painters & other staff. Is that not giving back to society?

All money that is spent is put back into the economy in order to benefit society.

You have to understand that not everyone is a millennial reddit socialist like you. In the real world, people with this view are laughed at. But enjoy your safe space

Reddit is very much a part of the real world, friend

Do you think that Reddit's user base is an accurate representation of American society? Millennials and socialists are overrepresented on this site. If this site were a true representation of the real world, the user base would be 37% moderate, 36% conservative, and 25% liberal.. The fact that you're ignorant of this truth is scary

Why do people always say stuff like this? Of course it's their choice, people are criticizing their choices

You have an obligation with that much money to make the world a better place. It’s very out of touch not to do so

That is your world view. Unfortunately, everyone has different opinions on how they want to manage their assets.

If you’re middle class, your fun money can be life changing to a lot of people in your community. And in other countries around the world. Are you sending all your fun money to such causes?

>Yeah it’s pretty gross how out of touch these people are

"Gross" is touching a slug. This guy is some other adjective entirely.
