"Humans"?
Anyone notice an uptick of posts talking about "humans" instead of "people". "Humans in northeast India"? Who talks like that?

We obviously have non humans running around.

I’d say it’s probably horses writing these headlines but their hooves are too big for a keyboard

That’s absurd; horses don’t use human keyboards.

Yea. This place in the pic is near Cherrapunji in Meghalaya. It's a 2 hrs drive from my place. The root bridge is a famous tourist attraction. Another interesting fact is that the region gets the highest rainfall per annum in the world.

Devil’s advocate: probably because it is describing people as a part of the fauna in an eco-system interacting with the flora, rather than in a social context.

Lmao using this for D&D was absolutely my first thought

Mine was that it seems like it would fit in perfectly in Sumeru, almost too perfectly in fact.

Oh my god, great point! Now that I'm running Nilou as my Sumeru main I'm embarrassed that didn't occur to me!

I'm sure this has come up in other fantasy stories that I'm not aware of but this exact idea was actually used in the Eragon books! The elves live in tree houses that they make by singing to trees in the Ancient Language, encouraging them to grow in certain ways.
