More recent research suggests that this isn’t true. Woodpeckers don’t show any evidence of shock absorption (and doing so would make their pecking less effective); they’re instead protected from concussion simply by having much smaller brains.

The more interesting thing is the linked article doesn't actually have anything to do with whether or not the physiology is shock absorbing lol it's about the tau link between Alzheimer's/CTE and woodpeckers having tau deposits. The article suggests the tau may be a protective mechanism and not just evidence of brain damage and needs further study

I am not American, but it is simply better to use a period as a decimal point and commas as place separators. A period ends a sentence, it should end a whole number. A comma separates sections of a sentence, it should separate place values in a number.
