May be a dumb question but, why is Balto in Ohio? Did he retire there?

You can read the full story at the Cleveland Natural History page (https://www.cmnh.org/balto) but tl:dr yes, the ended up living out their remaining lives at the Cleveland Zoo (after being saved from shady Californians).
