It’s pretty outdated now anyways, isn’t it? If I recall correctly, the answer was yes but you’d have to eat a TON of poppy seeds for it to make your test positive. I think that now the screening tests they use are much more sensitive and can pick up false positives from poppy seeds more easily.

You are absolutely right. It's also why "it was 2nd hand smoke" doesn't work. They can tell the difference.

Some guy that managed a place in Australia that I lived in, suggested that drug smuggling via bird seed (those compressed pyramid things) was highly lucrative & possible in the 70's. Dunno, possible. Motorcycle gang type.
