They're such beautiful dogs.

I was attacked by one. They also have powerful jaws. The lacerations from the teeth hurt, but the bone soreness lasted a surprisingly long time.

I'm surprised more in this thread don't know about Akitas. They're mean af. One attacked my dog as well. Vets absolutely hate dealing with Akitas (which I learned from taking my dog to the vet for his stitches and antibiotics after the attack). They really shouldn't be kept as pets. Everybody who's experienced Akitas knows this.

They look like giants Shibas, but they are stronger than German Shepards. Really powerful dogs.

They’re horrendous looking killing machines that would be better placed in a zoo than in the home

I say the same thing about humans.

Yeah well to date no humans have launched a savage unprovoked attack on any 8 year old girls in my family leaving them with lifetime facial scars.

I feel that's rather specific. Humans have done far worse to far younger, and smart money says it's happening to someone's family member atm.

It’s rather specific because it’s true, one of those animals bit my niece in the face completely without warning, they are a known violent breed and people shouldn’t own them.
