I'm still trying to figure out the "6" military services.

Army- mine Navy (Marines fall under Navy) Air Force Coast Guard

I forgot about Space Force.

So I guess 6 if you try to count the Marines as their own branch even though they fall under the dept of the navy?

Yes the Marines count as their Own Branch. And now it’s the seven uniformed services:
